TEAM MEMBER SPOTLIGHT
Rachal
Marketing Team Leader, Sonoma
Rachal is the Marketing Team Leader at the Sonoma Whole Foods Market and she is super passionate about the power of microcredit. Here is what she has to say about Whole Planet Foundation’s work: “Big fan of micro lending and considering the abundance of items I’m fortunate enough to choose from each day I want to ensure I’m supporting women in those areas that don’t have the opportunities I have. I know it isn’t much but hopefully in my life time I’ll have given a few full loans! I love to support women in need in any way that I can and payroll deductions makes it so easy.”

SHARING THE STORY OF MICROCREDIT THROUGH FOOD
South African-Inspired Pickled Mango
This sweet and sour mango condiment is based on South African atchar, pickled mango. Traditionally it’s left out in the sun for a couple weeks to age but ours can be enjoyed the next day. Keep up to a week and its assertive flavor will intensify as the mango softens. Serve with grilled meats and curried vegetables or simply with brown rice. This recipe was inspired by Whole Planet Foundation microcredit clients.
